Default Buries markes - memorabilia wanted

    Dear All,

My name is Roddy Ashley Mann and I am the Great Grandson of HG Mann who founded Buries Markes in 1930.

Whilst sadly I did not serve in the Merchant Navy I do work in Shipping and our family are proud to continue our involvement. My Father and I run Ashley Global Shipping Ltd in London and we own and operate a modest fleet of Dry Bulk Carriers.

My Grandfather Philip Ashley Mann who is still alive at 100 years young set up Mann & Sons (London) Ltd developing Harwich Port in the UK amongst other notable achievements in the Ro Ro sector whilst his brother John Ashley Mann carried on the BM link as CEO and continued the Louis Dreyfus connection marrying into their family. My cousin Peter Ashley Mann is Gerard Louis Dreyfus' Grandson.

The reason for the post is to try and see if anyone could help with any BM Flags/Caps/Memorabilia which we would love to acquire if there are any out there carrying little remaining sentimental value! It's a long shot I know but do let me know if anyone out there can help.

    With best regards,

    Roddy Mann

Thanks so much for your reply. I'm not sure this cap is sadly available for purchase as it belongs to the Maritime Museum.

If you are of any others do stay in touch. Best, Roddy
