I was working out off Wellington NZ in the late 1950s. There was A Tailer there, that made clothing for seamen. They where known as MONOWAI BLUES. we got pants A jacket and he through in a cap. They where very heavy grade cloth. I wish we could get clothing like that now days.

Now you can but designer Jeans in so many outlets.

Most of the younger generation wear them with great pride, not concerned about the price they pay for them.
Knees rotted away, pockets torn etc.

If only they knew, you can get ones like that from the local tip for free.

i remember in the 60s a clothes shop on london road liverpool it was known as the jew shop only sold american clothes proper jeans big cowboy belts texas shirts great shop at the time? jp
