Officers Cap Badge for C T Jones ( Cardiff) ?

This is not an original but is one of recent manufacture in simulated bullion wire.

Found this one on ebay, could be a modern interpretation ?

In the main got me thinking it could be a Griffin rather than a lion ?

    Just a thought.

    Keith.

Apologies, slightly off-topic. My Grandfather George Kennerley was also a Captain with P&O, having joined in 1914 aged 14 (killed 1941). We have some crew/passenger lists from some of his voyages - will check to see if they were shipmates on any of them.

(The badge looks like BP to me).

Thanks Max that would be great.

Think he left P&O around 1909 though.

    Seeing Doc's picture enlargement,
definitely not a griffin - search goes on.
