Thank you for the crew list. He isn’t on that list. He was employed by P&O as Second Mate then Mate from 1904 to 1909. I believe he was on the Fifeshire before then as he got married in NSW in 1897. There was a cutting he kept of a collision between the Fifeshire and the Corinth in 1893, although he wasn’t on their crew lists for that year.

The photo of the cap badge has gone, however I happened to be looking at the Caledonian MacBrayne ships on another research job and their logo of the Red Lion set me wondering if there was a connection there perhaps. Just for info.

The MC ILWRAITH LINE pictured is dated 1930, could it have been updated ? Will keep looking. Regards, Keith.
