Now I see the photo, not BP then - unless it was an earlier version. I cant find a Shire Line Cap Badge at moment, perhaps someone else has a picture of one.

Thanks to everybody for their help. I have another request please. How do I go about obtaining a crew list for the Fifeshire for 1897.

Go to the b&c staff register site and I think under Scottish shire there is a cap badge it's quite small and I haven't got a clue how to blow it up

Seen the cap badge for Shire Line and it has the Shire Line House Flag in the centre and is nothing like the one shown in the photo.

My mistake with a British and Commonwealth site wasn't Scotty Sire I meant it was Scottish tankers they have a lion on their emblem on a Scottish flag

Have bot found that badge as yet but was just wondering if it may have had something to do with the Clyde Shipping Company Glasgow as their House Flag has that Lion and Yellow Backing on it??
    Cheers

    Hello
As that Pic is not too clear as far as the actual badge goes do you think you could perhaps get it any clearer ,possiblt crop the actual section that has the Lion and backing?
This may make it a lot easier to ID ???

Scottish Tankers did not have a cap badge. it was just part of Clan Line but with it's own house flag
