Hi Charlie.
No information about the Clan Line.Spent
some very enjoyable holidays in Malta with
a couple of trips over to Gozo. Can you explain
the following. The National Dish on Malta and I
assume Gozo,is Rabbit. Now Malta and Gozo are
99.999% rock,so where the hell did these rabbits
dig their warrens and burrows???

Could it be they are marine rabbits and live under the sea only coming up at night to find food??????? Had a very good Maltese friend here, noe passed away, and his speciality was rabbit a la Malta, bloody beautiful.

Re Clan Line
The first ship I sailed on the ,the Clan Urquhart, joined her in Tilbury in '53. The old man was Inman, a very
pleasant old chap. Didn't mix much with anyone. Whenever we happened on something new on the trip, he would call me up to the bridge, see Gibralter, See Port Said See the Suez. ..all the way to Australia and back. We had a deck cargo of Diesel Electric Locomotives for Newcastle and some stud horses for Sidney. The apprentices were sure glad to see the back of 'em
