Re: Happy New Year
Life is only half a glass,
Unless 'tis shared with a bonnie lass,
So drink th' gither of blessings sent,
To Love an' Joy an' sweet Content.
Here's to th' smiles o' th' lassies we love,
Here's to th' friends ever faithful,
Drink to th' hearts so loving and true
And never may we be ungrateful.
Wishing Everyone A Happy, Healthy, Prosperous, & Peaceful New Year. Slàinte mhath, Marian, hubby & family

Re: Happy New Year
Alas it will not be a Happy New Year for many as hundreds of cars have been reported destroyed in a car park fire in Liverpool last night at the Echo Arena, no one was injured in the blaze.
Happy new Year to you all and may you be safe in your travels

Re: Happy New Year
#would guess a good excuse for car insurance to go up ......but wouldnt expect anything else from them really......best wishes to all aboard for this new year ....what a change to the world since we were young ....most of us remember harder times when poverty was no coal for the fire .......going to the beach to try and get sea coal .......baths in a tin bath ......family greatcoats on your bed .....cold most of the winter ....paying the doctor to come .....putting things in the pawn to pay the rent ....hiding from the rent man ....grandas coat cut down ....pipes frozen then bursting...the people in so called poverty today dont know what it means..but surely there are plenty of do gooders to preach about doing good while themselves having more than enough for themselves 10 times over .....let the do gooders put there funds in a money bank open it too all then ....stand back ......we all can have hard times .....but if we didnt get of our asses ......we would all have nothing ......nobody ever said it would be easy ......we will always have lifes unfortunates .....but the state gives them sustenance ..what they do with it is there affair ....not mine......i pay enough to these people in taxes......one in london paying 90 quid a week rent in a 2 milllion pound house ........my poll tax 250 a month .......and paying tax on money i saved for retirement .....well ive done my bit over to the food bank providors........happy new year to all cappy lol
