Remember Singapor when we sailed on the La Cumbre with John White, Jimmy Bradshaw, Billy Brennan, I,ve still got the old photos in the attic. remember when Jimmy painted the ships name on the dock side in very large letters. get in touch.

Hi All, I sailed with Buries Marks on the crap ship La Quinta, joined the ship in Flushing on the 6th Sept 1957 as a sixteen year old boy, sailed from Flushing to Gdynia to load coal for Argentina, sailed for a day, drifted for a day, this went on day after day all the way to Argentina, managed to buy myself off in Antwerp after 8 months,
the ship would not return to the U.K. as it would not have passed the Board of Trade!!
