Dear Mr Williams
My father sailed on BP tankers during the 1950's and early 60's and one of the tankersd he sailed on as the British Resource, from memory he also sailed on the Consul, Corporal, and Guardian. his name was Kenneth Creamer. Sadly my father died in 1968 and I would love to know more about his life at sea.
Hopefully somebody will remember sailing with him.
Best wishes
Dianne
Welcome to the site Dianne.:grouphug: Thanks for stopping by to introduce yourself and tell us about your late father. It is to be hoped that you enjoy the content here which is as varied as the members. I do hope that you find someone who sailed with or remembers Kenneth Creamer. Was he an Engineer, Radio Officer on Deck or in Catering?
Hi
Dad, (Ken) was an engineeer. I realise that it was all along time ago, but hopefully someone will remember him
Best wishes
Dianne
Hi Wullie.
I know this goes back a while, but I came across
a message saying that you had been in contact
with B.P. who supplied you with photo's of the
ships you sailed on.Back in the 50s I was on the
British Pioneer,Resource,Envoy,Hero and the Duke
and although I have a few photo's of these ships,
I would like to enlarge my collection so I am hoping
that you will be able to supply me with a name, address
etc of a contact at B.P.You can contact me by email HERE if you prefer.

I sailed on BRITISH MIGHT in 1948 and did two trips I recall which was nearly a year but that included a few enjoyable weeks in drydock in Falmouth. Years later I like a lot of us decided I would like photos of all the ships I sailed on, this was maybe in the late 1970s when I was thinking of career change (Oil rigs)
Anyway British Might long gone even company name had changed from British Tanker Company (BTC Better Times Coming) to BP. On an offchance I wrote to their head office in London and asked if they had a photo of the British Might. Quite soon afterwards lo and behold a very nice letter and photograph arrived to add to my collection of the sixty odd ships I sailed on. The photo showed British Might in her wartime roll with guns still in place
