john did the southern runcimans vessels have the same R on the stack as the geordie vessels ie moor line... surely the vessels were not using the same names ie cragmoor avonmoor etc....as most old men appeared geordies .....regards cappy R683532

No they didn’t Cappy .trying to think of one of their ships names , something like Caxton or close to it . The proper name for Runcimans of Newcastle was Moor Line Ltd. of 56 Pilgrim Street. Newcastle on Tyne. When they moved that address became a night club , what it is now, no idea. Dalgliesh were at Watergate Buildings down on the Quayside right above the pool . I was mate on the Pennyworth the Ravensworth and the Warkworth, when in Runcimans was on the Avonmoor, the Brockleymoor, Dartmoor, Exmoor , Glenmoor, Hazelmoor, Jedmoor. Cheers JS
