    Smile BSL Ships I sailed on

    My first was the Royal Star, Apr 59, junior cadet, to Puntarenas Patagonia, then Sydney to Oz via S.A., then California to USWC, then Aukland - voy. 2 or 3, to NZ, then Hobart, ditto, then Catalina to USWC. Did Second Mates, and joined the Ulster Star for one trip to S.America, and then happily sailed on the old taanker Pacific Star to some weird and out of the way places, up until the time she was sold to Greeks in '64, and that's when I moved on.....................
