I think this is what you are calling the Bibby Line Chalice underneath it has the following
    ONE OF SIX HUNDRED
    SPECIALLY MADE FOR BIBBY LINE
    TO MARK THE BICENTENARY
OF THE BIRTH OF JOHN BIBBY
AND THE GROWTH OF THE FLEET TO ONE MILLION TONNES
If it is the right one we recently seen one in the Maritime Museum, there is also a church called Our Lady and ST Nicholas that is a maritime church which has a memorial book

Calway, Many thanks for posting the photo of the Bibby Line chalice, which to be honest I had never heard of either. I joined Bibbys in 1960, my first ship being the troopship Devonshire, and was with them on and off for next 16 years when I left for pastures new. If there only 600 of these things made I would think it would be worth quite a bit in the years to come.
    Regards
    John.

    Hi Cal.Hope you are Well.
Many thanks for posting that picture of the Bibby Chalice so soon.It looks really nice.
I had never heard of it and would have always been wondering about it !
As John says quite a collectors item for the future. One can only hope that the families have treasured them and value their history and pass them down to future generations. They certainly deserve more than ending up at some car boot sale !

Thanks again, and my very Best Wishes

    Default CHALICE & Book

I also have one of these chalices which were made for Bibbys by Coleport china company and will become
    collectable in time.
Bibbys also around that time produced a hard backed book, The History of the Bibby Line.

    Hi Chaps

I also have a copy of the Bibby History, although rather battered now from much use and many house moves.
