G'day Craig and welcome to the best site in town. Do you have a list of ships you sailed on maybe with some dates? If so and you care to ppost them on site you may well get replies from some who knew you. So sit back with a cold one and enjoy the voyage.
Happy daze John in Oz.

Hi Mike,
I have only just found this site and have recognised a few names already.
I joined Ben Line in 1970 as deck cadet, sailed on many Ben boats 'stac, dearg, lomond, arty, armin, CoEd, avon, vorlich, valla, chemies venue, macdhui, some old city and pando boats.and others.
1987 I transfered across to Atlantic Drilling, then Stena took us over in 1996 as Stena Drilling.
So rigs will be OBL, Benloyal, Stena Clyde (all the same rig), Benreoch, Benlomond, Stena Spey.
Now I am down here off Australia on the Stena Clyde, serving as OIM / Master.
There are a few Ben Line lads around. Graeme MacDougall. Stuart Russell, John Banks is now CEO of Stena Drilling, Pete Bathgate has recently retired from the office, Tom Kennedy is retired but does a few days.

G'day Tony and welcome to the site. Good list of ships you have there, any dates to go with them? If you have and care to list them on site there is a good chance you will hear from some who knew you. So sit back with a cold one and enjoy the voyage.

Hi John,
sure I'll be paying off in a week.
I'll dig out my old discharge books.
Back to a chilly soggy UK

Hi,
My name is Bill Cameron I worked with Benline Steamers from 1969 to 1973.
I spent 2.5 years on the Benvrackie. It was a great ship I left her as 4th engineer and spent the rest of my time with Benline doing coastal trips. Lots of fun.
