    Default On the Mend Again

Just looking in to say hello to you all and to let you know I'm doing well, now finished with the carers plangency, doing my own coocking, laundry and light cleaning.
Now back in touch with the heart doctor and have a new appointment for 24th February, the NHS have been sullying me with a pleasant tasting drink that helps to
bulk you you up and give you energy, that's helping a lot, glad I've finished with the carers, they are very nice people but would turn you into an invalid if you allowed
them to. the NHS have really looked after me and I'm very grateful to them all. After I was discharged from the hospital, I had a visit from an NHS worker, she came to
how I was doing and to assess my situation, I still have the double bed in the bedroom which is'nt realy suitable for me anymore as I am now, so she asks if I would have
a hospital bed in my front room, I told her thhe hospital trolley bed I had with an inflatable mattress [ all lumps and bumps ] that wrecked my back, she assured me this
bed would be nothing like that, so I agreed to have the bed. Some time after that the bed was delivered, a man brought it in to the front room and assembled it, he put it
aganst the wall where I wanted it, then brought in a memory foam ma tress, it is semi soft, just right for me. The bed is about 6ft long, under3ft wide and quite low,
it has a hand control with eight functions for different sections, raise, lower and tilt, the pillow section raises to full sitting up position,, it's really great. Hope this has'nt been
too boring, will try to do a couple of threads and Gary, my son will post them on site for me, all the best, cheers. John Collier.

Hi Vernon, thank you for your help with my wrongly posted thread, it is much appreciated, yes, I am very pleased with ho I'm getting on now the caterers have gone, I
feel I'm back in charge of my life and home, the District Nurses still visit twice a week, to give treatment but thats a totaly different thing. I won't be as regular as before
but will do some threads as that is easier for me to do a bit at a time, sad to see so many old names missing now, hope they're just taking a break. Cheers John Collier.

Hi Tony, yes, I've surprised myyself mate but it's till early day's, got a Hernia tear some time ago, been taking tablets for weeks, now had an Ultra sound scan at the
Doctors surgery, the guy who did that, said he will be able to push it back into place. It wasn't caused by me doing something daft, it's more likely to be the muscles
have got weak because of the months of inactivety but hopefully the muscles will build up again now I'm doing more. All the best, cheers John Collier

Stay with it John , things can only get better as we all hope. our age group nearly all suffer similar complaints , it’s part of growing up ? Can’t remember if Cappy and Fouro were still around before or during your RNR. ? Their contributions to the OAPs group were all genuine subscribers to the MN and are sorely missed . Hope you stipulated the sex ,age and approx dimensions of your dual visitations every week.Best of luck and good to see you back. Cheers JS

Hi Des, thank you for your good wishes, they're much appreciated, I won't be able to be on site as much as before, the last stroke I had in February 2024, took my
balance and and cause brain damage which also affects my vision, get tiered very quickly nowadays, I think I'll be able to do some threads as I can do that a bit at
a time and Gary will post them on site for me, hope you and your wife are well, take care mate, all the best, gheers John Collier.
