    Default The bug returns

It has come back again, that bug, the travelling bug.
Once again I have the urge to travel far and wide.
Tuesday we will be off again in our travels.
Fly to London then coach to Southampton, two day rest then a cruise to Portland, Lands End, Cobh, 4 stops in Iceland and two Scottish islands then Edinburgh.
If Aere Lingus get their act to get their and end the strike we will then fly to Ireland, still a few outlaws there, for 5 days then back to London where we will ride the bus and try to spot the white English man, can I say that?

We will be out of the country for 35 days 2 hours and 10 minutes.

Hopefully back on site August 14th.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.

That sounds exciting John, you'll enjoy the London bit. Can't help you with the languages, but some people do speak a little English. Just keep asking people, and within the hour you'll find one of them I'm sure.
Of course you can say "white English man", there are some here.

In 2009 the company I worked for employed a woman in Kazakhstan and was brought to UK for training, she spent the weekend in London with her brother before taking a train to our location in Somerset. I picked her up from the station and during our ride back to the office she commented that she hardly saw any white people in London - 2009 it was, so I wonder how she would find it today.

Enjoy your trip John! I had 3 days in Cobh in 79 waiting to join a ship at Whitegate. Had a great time, stayed at very good hotel on sea front with a little pub along the road which sold Beamish stout, which in those days I had never come across and found it very enjoyable, especially as my local pub back home was in Beamish village (Co. Durham). The hotel was literally empty, the staff were excellent and took great delight in watching me struggle through the huge dinners they placed in front me and the more I asked them to reduce the amounts the bigger they got.

#1 don’t go past the 6 weeks John or they’ll stop your OAP. Roaming in the gloaming like Harry Lauder and visit clydeside should finish the job off. Have a good un . If you notify the NHIS they will up your uk pension to what they get today. Might pay for all the extra bus fares . JS

#1. Your itinerary doesn’t seem to include too many opportunities for sunbathing. However, Get all the bronzy you can, using that strategy you’ll be fast tracked through uk immigration.
