Cappy if you can remember when on the Pier take your telescope with you , you know the one you made with two jam jars , and count any boats on the fish quay , on the civilised side of the river and see if there is any registered there yet , they will have SN and a number painted on the side as you know. You wont be able to see from the Ferry Inn so will have to leave your pint standing for a few minutes , unless you take it with you. Cheers Have a good day or three. Cheers JS

Literally only a handful these days John, last few weeks there was always about a dozen or so fishing off the Tyne (mainly Scottish boats and a couple of Irish) but they have disappeared lately. So have the fish as well (according to locals)

Strange mix here at the mo, towns like Bolton are struggling against the covid infections, cappy and others around the country
are allowed to travel and to take a break. Headlines of todays local paper say, 900 seafront jobs are up for grabs, so that looks
good for local business, hopefully the country will get back to normal soon. Enjoy your break cappy, fresh sea air and ozone,
warms the cockles of your heart cheers.
