Watched a Jaime Oliver TV program last night, he said 160 million tons of the best parts of a fish are dumped in the UK every year, because people only wanted the best bit.

South Shields pier got me into trouble as a young lad.
Went fishing off there with a mate, flicked the rod back in a cast and behold on the end some new bait.
A straw hat from the head of a lady stood behind me, did not catch anything with that.

But heard a bit on the news today apparently Boris is against the intake of Mossies.
He should come here, we have millions of them spreading Malaria all over the place.
Even the Aeroguard is no good against some of them.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

And yet the mosquito was considered a good light aircraft cheap, being made mainly of balsawood and not too susceptable to radar. Seems the present day version of the mossie is still hard to spot for those who guard our shores. JS

#17 . Terry on our tv screens here Boris is shown as having a different hair style, wherever he has been in the interval he must have visited a barber as his mop of hair appears now to be much shorter. Unless of course it is falling out. Cheers JS

Best plaice for fish and chips is Ireland. “The Chipper” is what Irish people lovingly call their favorite fish and chip shop. Every chipper's menu highlights deep-fried, battered, white fish served with chips (thick-cut french fries), drizzled with malt vinegar and dusted lightly with salt.

Do like, one situated on North Shields quayside adjacent to The Fish Market it's everything a chippy should be.

Also that way - Fridays fish shop, Wallsend Rd, chip shop clean tidy and very friendly staff good food.

The Welsh fish and chip shops named among the best in the UK:

Hope his hair isn't falling out John, it's where his brains are, maybe in the bottom lot.

Not a hair cut, his hair depends on how the wind blows, or how she puts the hair drier on it.
