Now the heartache begins, wondering what to keep and what to give/throw away, as all those seemingly unimportant things have a memory in their very being. But of course it will be your stuff that goes first!!

    10. Ivan in the house sold left a tv, a three piece suite, all the carpets, a fridge and freezer , had to take the old bar fridge outthe garden for present use as the newer one was too big to fit in the fridge alcove. Lawnmower whichwas pleased to see go, ahigh pressure water hose compressor, blowers fans and all sorts, which was all I hope appreciated by the young 23 year old fifo worker , single as well appreciated. Since then two suits and numerous boxes of clothes to the Sally Army. Still coming across stuff for the skip. Next thing will be down to one car , so that should cause a few arguments about destinations we are going to. Howver on the bright side no garden to worry abou as al, done professionally. You would be in your element here as they have ballroom dancing classes once a week among other things, you would make a good instructor with your experiences of South American Sambas and tangos. I’m quite happy propping up the bar and trying to arrange them to the pub with no beer. Life ain’t whatit used to be. Cheers JS

    To JWS,
During the turmoil of you moving house, I was wondering and hoping you found the letters which referred to your mother being in service to the Queen Mother.

Wishing you both happiness in your new home,
    Lang May Your Lum Reek.

    Regards from,
    Fouro.

You’ll. Have to remind me of that one Fouro. My mother was in service from the age of 14 . One of her employers was the Queen Mother before she married George the sixth .My mother was prone to a long tale but in this case I sighted one letter from her in later life. My mother used to read tea leaves also as a party piece. Cheers JS
