Just got back about 45 min ago from the Hospital.
Did all the necessary filling in pf so much bleedin Paperwok for full Registration.
That took some 1 hour and 20 min believe it!
Then to the Triage Sister of the Eye Section to have a few minor tests done ,on my sight etc nothing too elaborate.
That took another hour or so,gosh they are so slow there.
That all done they said a fond farewell for the day,so made my way back home on the Train,
Nice comfortable trip with ASir Con going! Marvellous!
So again Tomorrow another Train ride there and back.
This time they will insert some drops to Dilate the Pupils ,so cannot do much for a few Hours after.
Then at the same time a Professor who is i have heard a Top Man in this Field will be examining my left Eye as that Eye was operated on for Detached Retina some Years back.
He will then inform me of what exactly they will be doing when I am able to get yet another appointment, ths time of course for the actual procedure, which again I have been informed could well take up to 6 to 9 Months . What a palava@!
Oh well that it for now talk morE Tomorrow when I again get back, well that is if I can still see LOL

Asked my optician if I could buy a bottle of it.

    Not a chance.

Apparently, am ok to drive though.

    Not blinking likely.

Well a faster Visit Today than Yesterday, now back home with the Vision a bit blurred still ,but not too bad!
Got all things done thus far ,and gald that i was a bit faster .
The Outcome is good , the Retina seems to be still in good order and the attachment is holding very well.that was my main worry.
Now i have to again wait for the actual Ctaracts Op which as said could take up to 9 Months they are so Busy with these sort of Cataracts Ops ,I am amazed so many have this problem.
So as my Driving test comes up in June again,i hope that the Optometrist will give me a pass as he did last Year. Otherwise I may have to have a restricted Licence until the Op has been done and cleared. They give you a certain distance on Restricted up to I think is about 50km sort of Local so you can at least get around a bit,but will see in June!
Till then its back to the normal things in life , LOL

Hope that Roger got to meet with Capt Kong and his dear wife Anne. I most probably will hear from him later.
    Cheers

Gosh I had to recheck this Post as I had made quite a few errors with my fuzzy Eyes LOL

Vernon, things must be a bit off in NSW.
Cataracts here are regularly done and the waiting time can be as little as a couple of weeks.
    So com eon down!!!!!!!!!!!!

But good to hear that all is well so far, we do not have the medical for driving here in Vic.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

You are so lucky that there is no Driving Medical thee John
Its a pain in the rear to be honest! But I suppose in a way its also good as they can check to see if you are AOK for driving .

The waiting list is very long here John,so must just now wait and see .

Spoke to Roger a little while ago and he said that me did meet up with Capt and Anne, they had a nice few Hours together at the Quay and then went to Darling Harbour for Capt and Anne to catch the Bus back to White Bay to the Ship.

Must say i am so disappointed I missed all that, and am to say the least feeling down now!

Thank you Roger for being there for them I am sure they were at least happy to see one old Face! LOL

    Cheers

    Thanks Victoria
I am not at all worried about the Op just that i wish it could be done and dusted!
This waiting is the thing that i just hate!
I have spoken to a few people here who have had this procedure done, and actually the bloke next door to me had his done some 8 Months back,he had one done at a time though ,but i know that it was quick and the Healing as well,as after both had been done (one at a time that is) he was walking around quite normal afer only two days ,the Cover patch he had n was gone and he said all was well.
    Cheers

PS I had laser Surgery some Years back as i said on a detached Retina ,that was a bit painful for a day or so,as they removed the Eye to Laser the Detachment back.
I looked like I had gone some rounds with old Mike Tyson LOL
