It came from taking the "P' out of Grand Opera. Particularly The soprano singing the part of Brunnhilda in Richard Wagner's eight hour, "Ring Cycle" First she sings the "Ride of the Valkyre" in I think the fifth opera and again in the last opera , "Gotterdamerrung", The twilight of the Gods. She wears armour, a metal bra, carries a spear and shield and usualy wears a horned Viking helmet and sings her song as the Gods fight it out and the world and the opera comes to an end, thus "It ain't over until the fat lady sings." Most operatic sopranos are fat.

P.S. I have the whole eight hour opera on tape., if you have a day to spare to listen to an opera you know where you can get a copy Johno.

Rodders, I have seen photos of that lady and thanks to you I now know who she is and what she is.

    The end of Kismet.

With a broken heart my beloved Jeanmarie passed away yesterday evening 7:30pm. Needless to say I am devastated and lost. I will need a time to come to grips with it.

I'm planning for her cremation, as was our wishes. Attending will be just her and me. She will be dressed in the wedding dress in which she married me thirty-eight years ago at the Devil's Pebbles, Tennant Creek, Australia.

When my turn comes our ashes will be combined and scattered at a most beautiful spot, where we had a wonderful vacation together.

We will have a repeat vacation together for ever at a lookout overseeing the Grand Teton Mountain Range, Wyoming.

Thank you for your kind comments as the saga unfolded.

    Rodney, paying off.

My thoughts are with you, sad hearing this
and hope that you will always have fond
memories. Take all care and will say a
    prayer tonight for you both.

    Regards, Keith.

    Rod
Have just seen this and all i can say is to repeat the many replies that have been posted!
A very hard time for you and the Family.
Her Soul will now rest and be taken to the place of everlasting life!

As said you will meet again in a different World ,but still with all that love that both of you held for each other.

It is just another stage of our lives.
    RIP

Rod my condolences at your loss, and you will feel lost and devastated, it is only natural, but as time goes by at times you will cry and at times will also laugh as memories come back, that is also natural, never feel guilty about doing either, you will never forget those loving memories they keep you going
