Hi All on site
This is just an update on Richard who has not posted in a while again, this being due to the fact that he has been in and out of Hospital with Cardiac Troubles, fortunately he is now back at home and i have just spoken to him on the Phone.
he is well and happy to be back home , and says to say hello to all the older Members that know him for all the Years he has been on site.
His apologies for not being able to post of late to all as well, but i know that all will fully understand.
His Puter has also been up in the Air as i gather, and he is hopefully getting that fixed when possible.
There are also other circumstances that dont at present allow him to post ,so please dont think that he does not want to, but with all he is going through (With more Surgery on the Cards very soon) will not go into it, but thank the Lord it is not Cardiac Related.
So the main thing is that at present he is fine , and still in the Land of the Living ,as the saying goes!
I am very happy to hear this ,as i was getting concerned about him.
We have now decided to Phone each other at least every two weeks just to keep one another in the Picture.
Thanks for your understanding on this /
As Richard says , misses the Banter but times are harder and there are more things that have to be done at home , now that the Years are passing so fast!
He is already 90 ,so counts himself lucky to at least still be here!
Please think of Richard as i know you all will. He is one tough old Seaman!
And a really great Guy!
All the best
Cheers
Give Richard our best and we wish him well, and back up the gangway when he is able to do so.
All the Very Best wishes, Richard.
Hope you are with us for a very long time,
Maybe see you again one day in Sydney,.
Cheers
Brian

Hi Vernon.
Today was the day I was going to post asking you if you had heard anything from Richard, thanks for that , Richard is one of our stalwarts.
When next you phone him give him my very best wishes.
cheers Des
Richard, you old bugger.
just hang in there, it is still another ten years to 100 and a letter from H Maj.
Have seen one, my mates mother got one, very impressive.
Thank you Vernon and all our dear shipmates for your very welcolme and appreciated good wishes. This DOB (date of birth) syndrome caught up with me. Not much chance of a letter from H Maj although she has her mother's jenes and may well get there. I will keep looking in and and again thank you.
Stay well, stay safe,
Richard
