Re: Bye for now
Sorry to see you go Den, hope it wasn't anything I said, you will be missed. Tabnabs were one of the things that we looked forward to at sea, especially on a long ocean passage, something always appreciated, can honestly say never sailed with a bad baker.

Re: Bye for now
Thank you all for the kind words.
I shall miss a lot of you.
Maybe after a spot of leave, and some other things, I shall be back.
Time will tell.
Very best to all.
Den.

Re: Bye for now
Dennis, Thanked you for the post, but no, I can't LIKE the post. A shocker and a shame but I understand. For me it is easy to ignore lotsa' stuff I neither like nor agree with, but my time here, with so much to enjoy and add to my lengthy biography from so many respected research members will mean that I will not give up on a wonderful site that has kept me going for ages now. Unless of course I'm called to 'Fiddlers'. No chance right now!
Keep well and keep in touch, Please, Cheers, Eric

Re: Bye for now
Happy 'retirement' Den. I always enjoyed your quality posts. I once mentioned a friend of mine who lives in Sooke, BC near you. His name is Glen Lovett, originally from here, and he and his late lovely Canadian wife Kaye lived next door to us here many years ago. Glen, and was Kaye, is a very talented artist with a cartoon series on the Adventures of Jasper, The Adventures of Jasper by Glen Lovett - Graphic Novels .
We are still communicating friends and If you go by that way it would be nice for you to call in and tell him we are 'Old Shipmates'.
Will miss your presence, Den. Take care and good wishes,
Richard

Re: Bye for now
Hi Den.
If you still call in, I have to tell you that I to am also leaving the site , having joined in 2008 I have enjoyed the site immensely and made many friends, but with the banning of two great researchers in Marian and Hugh someone with both MN and Royal Navy experience , and having to read posts from maybe I can and maybe I'll try tomorrow leaves me cold at heart.
