Awol once again
The hibernating bear in spring comesforth, as do the rivers after spring time thaw.
Just like that thaw there comes fromdeep within a need.
Once more to stand astern ,and watchthe wake stream out to reach that far horizon, where sea and sky dosweetly meet much like a lovers kiss.
To see upon the waves reflectedmoonlight, star twinkling by the miriad.
Then gaze upon a pod of Dolphinsbreaking from the waves, then crash deep beneath.
The man once taken by the sea can neverbe released, that hold upon him deep within his soul and there inlies a need that may never be denied.
So once again I must go forth andquench that need, and though the ships are not as once we knew, thesea in all its majesty remains supreme.
I will then set forward on my next adventure sure in the knowledge my deepest needs will there be met.
Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.

Re: Awol once again
Yes Vernon, you are of course correct in your assumption.
Next week at close to weeks end I will from Oz fly north to land In England, a sceptered isle set in a silver sea.
Then on to Southampton, that port of so many memories long past, where from young boys sailed to return as full grown men.
A town of great importance to those ,whom in those times did travel for no jumbo jets would then be able.
The Solent, that gateway to the open sea and adventures such as many would never in their wildest dreams think possible.
From theer we sail to Brussels, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Tallin, St. Petersburg overnight, Helsinki and Gdansk.
Returning then to Southampton we venture forth to the Emerald isle, a land of green and verdant pastures where time is of little essence to the country folk, where peace abounds and food and good ale await the weary traveler. There to meet with the outlaws and hear their tales of good and bad.
From there to England once again to that small town in the south who all do ,know as London. There to meet with more, enjoy the company, celebrate the birthday and return to Oz much refreshed.
Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.

Re: Awol once again
Thank you all for your kind words.
As luck would have it the day we sail will be exactly 50 years since Terri and I met.
How time flies when you are happy.
Sailing on the Crown Princess for this one.
