Den, with the fish nutrient crap that your menagerie is providing, your apple tree must bear a lot of fruit and be full of anti oxidants.

Most beautiful looking mountain lion Den, and yes bear crap is good for the land. that is why the forrests do so well in Canada.

I went camping through BC for a month in 1990, in the Rockies and the Ice Field Parkway, alone. in the woods from Vancouver, over the tops to Kamloops and then Banf to Jasper.
I went looking for Bear, never saw any, until I looked up and there were dozens of them sat up in the trees looking down at me,
I slept in my car after that.
Good adventures up there.

And these of our days Ivan praying won't help.

Richard one of my apple trees also bears Raccoons. Nests in a hollow of the tree.
Brings the kittens out of it every year.
Bloody things are pain in the ass.

Hi Joe,Cougars are not really shy, but as a rule keep hidden.
Some outdoors men have never seen one.
I have seen four.
One day when hunting, I had one track me back to my truck.
Only knew that as saw the tracks in new snow when I went back out.
Few minutes later it jumped out in front of me.
Scared the hell out of me, but it took off.
In cappy's chermanius area one attacked a full grown man. He managed to kill it with his knife.
He was a bit worse for ware.
Over the years several children have been killed.
One cougar in Tofino got into a school playground and took off with a little girl.
Mostly they are in the mountains and survive on the deer population.
Come down here when they are getting a bit old to catch their prey.
Farm next to me lost some sheep.
I was lucky, never lost any of mine.
No comments please John.

Easy for you to say. You don't have to shovel it up. Its like ten pounds of apple sauce.
Recall one time in NZ.Two of us were picked up by two 'older' ladies.
Carried us off in their car to some deserted area, where they actually took advantage of us.
They must have been all of forty years old.
The sacrifices we made in those days.
There should be a medal for 'above and beyond'
