Off on my travels..............................again
I must go down to the sea again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a cruise ship, and a bar so I am not dry.
I have an itch to scratch.
To see again the ships wake stretching out astern, to hear again the bow wave crash,
and view the horizon as it reaches out beyond a clear blue sea, to watch a pod of Dolphins as they gaily crest the waves, or observe an albatross as it blithely rides the thermals.
An ocean sunrise and sunset, blazing red across the far horizon, or see a clear night moon with stars that hang like grapes awaiting then the harvest.
Once more to smell the ocean perfume that would thus enhance any mistress, for that is what the sea is to so many. A mistress that will not be denied, a mistress that once takes hold can never be released.
For the man once taken by the sea can never leave her, she becomes a very part of his soul.
So I will away on Sunday morn to Singapore there to board the ship, though many may not say a ship as they knew, and there to indulge my passion for the sea.
I will return in mid January and tell you of my voyage.
I have, as is correct, submitted my leave form, in triplicate, to the office.

Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.

Re: Off on my travels..............................again
Have a good trip John. Put your travelling expenses into Capt. Kong on your return. They may have put up the rates by now used to be allowed 30 dollars a meal. Taxis up to 100 dollars a time. Try and get a seat in the bar where you can view the wake without having to go out into that glaring sun. Bon voyage. John S PS Try and come to some arrangement with the bar man to give all drink receipts as per soft drinks, think they will probably refuse to pay expenses on alcoholic ones these days. Right bunch of skinflints theyre getting. JS

Enjoy the voyage John, What ship is it,?? make sure the Master is not a Greek or an Itie, if you see him hovering around on the boat deck, then grab a life jacket. Love Singapore , it changes shape every year, A gin sling in Raffles, a trip up the Marina Bay Hotel, fantastic.
What is the itinery>
have a good trip
Cheers
Brian.

John you and your bride have truly wonderful trip, I'll miss your posts mate, but you can make up for them when you are bronzed, rested, well fed, but with a slight headache...and safely back home.
Cheers and bonne voyage, Rodders.
