I have sailed with Chris Wells a few times, QE2, QM2 and Q.Elizabeth. he was ex Shell before Cunard.

Oops, I should be careful what I say, shouldn't I Brian? As I say, it was a tale from a couple of passengers who experienced the incident. May well have been quite exaggerated. Captain Wells was certainly entertaining whilst delivering the daily announcements - the comedian on board (forget his name now) poked great fun at them.

It was a fantastic journey, both ways, and the sea was relatively calm. Wishing I were still on board...

re post 43. Yes thats right she was a full drilling rig highly productive whilst I was on her. Used to helicpter out from Aberdeen,but often due to
inclement weather we would divert back to the Orkneys and fly back to Aberdeen in an old Dakota.
