    Default Avenue pictures

Any luck so far with your Avenue pictures Ausssie ? I have just arrived on this site - if you are interested, I have some interesting stuff, including some MOVIE film of the "Donegal" c. 1963. I was on her - as Deck Apprentice - for three years 1962-65, and the film was taken by the Chief Engineer Gilbert Filshie OBE . Let me know how you're doing,
    Best wishes,
    Ian

    Cool Avenue Shipping.

    Hi aussie.
I read that you had served with the Avenue Shipping Co,
so Im hoping that maybe you can help me in my search?.
Im collecting buttons of all the Shipping Co I sailed with,
and the only on that Im short of is the AUSTRALIND SHIPPING CO.
Ive been told that they sailed under the ownership of the
Trinder Anderson, along with Bethel Gwynn,Avenue Shipping,
Australind Shipping Co,and the New Zealand Shipping Co,but
the latter had their own funnel markings and badges and buttons
but all the rest sailed under the Black Swan(Hungry Duck) with
their own buttons and badges.Ive been trying for quite a while
to obtain one of these Company buttons, but no luck so far.Im
hoping that maybe you might know if these might be available in
your part of the World. If you can help me in my search I shall
    be most grateful.
