Athelcrown 1949 - Can you Help
Seasons Greetings to all.
I am wanting to contact anyone who may have sailed on the Athelcrown in 1949 on her maiden voyage (I think) when delivering water from Durban to East London (South Africa) during a severe drought. I am trying to expand my father's memoirs as he lived in East London after returning from WW11 Active service and he describes the several runs which the Athelcrown made bringing water to East London at the height of a bad drought in South Africa.
Specifically it would be nice to hear anecdotes and personal memories of both ports.
Thanks in anticipation

I hope in time you mat get some good replies relating to your query!
A full name would certainly help and and possibly his place of Birth and Port of Departure on her Maiden Voyage!
Enjoy what there is on offer here
Cheers
