Retirement

I retired at 53, did a year painting and mending things, went fishing etc., etc.

Then got a bit bored, so I started my own gardening business, it took off like a rocket. Did that for ten years or so. Permanent sun tan, fit as a fiddle and could spend the winters here in the Canary Islands,

G'Day John, I agree with you mate, I drive for the Hobart seamens mission voluntry casual like and love it, as for asking to be paid to do voluntry work...well, what can I say, grasping springs to mind and selfish. I get to meet seamen from all over the world and a very polite and well mannered bunch they are, I really enjoy it.

Hi Lads. I have just joined the National Coast Watch, of which has a base in Folkestone. At the moment I am in training and have another few days to go before I go on watch. Since joining the team, I have found the experience very interesting, and after my training, I cannot wait to be part of the team. They are a great bunch of lads, and I think that I will enjoy being part of the N.C.W. Thank's for all of your ideas. Take care..... Terry. ;)

The more i think about it the more i want to go back to sea!!!

I am 52 and a young 52 at that, i can give at least another 15 years service maybe more.

All it takes is a chance.

Still working --------- but would give up tomorrow for a chance to get the sea legs again. ;)
