    Default Queen Mother

    Hi Geoff
A bit late on but you may still be interested. Photographs of the Queen Mother are also available from the Bristol Docks Industrial Museum - they also have a builders model of the vessel. I was a Bristol Pilot apprentice for 2 years from 1960 at Barry on the Queen Mother. Also the George Ray and Nancy Raymond when they were on station whilst the QM was in drydock. I have attached a couple of pics that may be of interest.

    Regards

    Pugwash

    Hi Ian
Bit late (3 1/2 years)! but here are a few more pics of the Bristol Pilot Boats you will remember. I too was an apprentice on the QM at Barry in the early 60s, also spent time on the George Ray and Nancy Raymond, both at Barry and Avonmouth. Also the Sally Organ at Avonmouth.

    Regards

    David
