Very quick if the body is gone in 4 days in the ocean.
Spoke with my GP some time back about how long it takes a body to decompose.
All depends on the coffin, type of soil buried in, how dep the grave is, and how sick the patient was at time of falling off the perch.
He also told me that about 90 minutes in the oven is much quicker and you do not have to buy a grave site.

My way is even cheaper, I am going up to Canberra teaching hospital, they use it, then get rid of it free of any charges.

#3 As an additive to my post 3 . I should have added in at least my informative early years at sea , it was an unwritten course of events if a crew member died with obvious natural causes , that the body should be buried at sea. This was because of commercial interest as going into port with a dead body would cause excessive delays with Quarantine and Port Health Authorities. And for those who read their Charter Parties , time was money in the tramp shipping trade. Things like sat navigators and places to keep corpses or mortuary’s , and speech correspondence at the touch of a button were not there at one time. JS.

Talking about Burials , there seems to be a lotof adverts now on TV for Companies like Pure Cremation and the Coop Funeral care.
I called it the TV happy hour, later in the afternoon especially when quiz shows are on before tea time.
Ad usually starts with , it was a lovely service, Millie did the family proud blah blah!! doing the family proud was saving a few quid using a cardboard coffin.
But the one makes me laugh ins your man is in the bath and the wife is outside the door talking to hubby. It really is time we had our funeral plans in place. He goes oh yes we must get them sorted, Pure creamation do a good deal and they are smiling and happy as larry. I often wonder if your mans wife has an electric heater handy to toss into the bath Yes it will come to us all but I don't think I will be singing wish me luck as I wave you goodbye.

It certainly has Tony especially the Coop, for years it was the go to funeral directors. My dear old mum inlaw used to have a paying in book. I was in China when she popped her clogs and it was not possible for me to get home in time. But my Mrs found her Coop Funeral plan book and contacted the Coop. Well done Margie all taken care of, also the Wake & change.

We get them on the radio regularly.

They makes it sound almost like a nice family day out!!!

Yep, they all seem happy and nearly sound as if they are looking forward to the big day.
Another one that has been revamped is for the RNLI or better known on the South Coast as the refugee Channel Taxi Service.
They are pushing for you to leave a gift in your will. Always an elder woman usually telling how well the money will be put to use etc!!!
No mention of the CEO's salary £160,000 a year also it would appear to be jobs for the boys. The Current fella Peter Sparkes will take up the post of CEO after he leaves the Post of CEO of the UK Hydrographic Office. Yet another RN Rear Admiral.
Concerning leave a gift in my will no chance. The RNLI is the most over subscribed charity in the UK.
Nothing against the lads that run the boats but like a lot of charities top heavy with Admin staff.
