Just one thing for Rob, yes the Docs are Free downloads from the NA, however just remember that you have to join there first , mind you that free as well!

Hugh: I'm curious why you think John who died on the Apapa in 1917 is not the same man. I have a 1914 death record (his wife's) showing him alive and working as a seaman at age 62. Seems plausible, unless we can definitively rule him out.

You can definitely rule him out Rob. I would need to check again but I think the one on Apapa was about 23 years old and a Fireman. By the way John Wilson is a very common name and there are a few of them.
