Default Ships my husband was on n the 60's

As suggested here are the ships my Stan was on in the 60's. Hoping for photos, stories ( even the really naughty risqué ones, I've heard a few from him!), And anything else from any that knew him.
Unfortunately I don't have his discharge book, just photocopies of two pages and the number is unreadable. Here are the ships:
MV Hauraki sept 29th to October 13th 1962 and 27th July to 5th August 1966
    MS Ruahine 20th October 1962 to 15th may 1963
MS Turakina 16 th may 1963 to 17th April 1964
    MV Gloucester 30th may 1964 to 31st January 1966
TSS Hororata 16th August to 3rd September 1966
MV Nottingham 21 September to 8 December 1966
SS Devon 12 April to 24 may 1967
    MV Bumenda Palm 1968

Noticed your typo-it is not the Bumenda Palm. Bamenda is a city in Cameroon, but having been to a port (Douala) in that country I feel your typo name may be more appropriate!

More photos on your list to follow shortly.

Yes Vernon,I do what I can to help, especially now when I have a bit of free time.
Of course,it's always nice if one elicits a response, but as we know from past experience it's more rarely than surely! It often happens that the enquirer completely forgets that they posted it ,or cannot find their thread again on this vast site !(LOL)
Anyway I know it's often good for our crew to have a look at,and perhaps even recognise, some of their past ships of our Golden Age!

    Cheers Cheers.gif

    Yes Graham
Like you say , its nice to get a response from a wee bit of help that some of us post at times, but sadly at times its not always forth coming is it!?
There is that issue though that new Members that post Help questions, seem to loose where their posts are, and that is why i keep track of a lot , and at times just copy and paste their Link to them in a Private Message , to give them a small reminder as to where it is, and that there are replies awaiting responses!

So like this one , possibly because of the Holidyas the Lady is away or whatever so will wait a wee while, then give her a wee nudge! LOL

He was on the Kiwi coast Sylvia so they would be a few, pubs closing at 6 pm and the parties afterwards, some of the girls knew the shipping movements better than we did.

Thank you so much for the photos of the ships . I am very grateful to see them. I'm also still hoping there will be someone that knew him in the 70's as I have no idea which ships he was on then. Also hoping for stories about him. One man in the New Zealand Shipping Company group page sent me some photos he took iof Stan when they went in shore leave in the 60's, and another told me how Stan possibly saved his life.
