    Default SS 'Grelrosa'.

Has anyone sailed on the above vessel in the 50's?

    Hi Ian,

My father sailed on the SS Grelrosa in the 50's. I've just joined this site to find out some information about the two ships he sailed on during his short time in Merchant Navy. His name was Ken Saville. His memory isn't as good as it used to be so I'm trying to find out a few things about the Grelrosa eg, what routes did it sail, what did it carry etc. so we can chat about it.

He also sailed on the MV Scotland

    Hi Bob.
Looks like a few I was on, the first shot looks like she had a load of logs from Canada.

William Corry (Ted) I sailed on the Grelrosa as EDH 22/2/55 to 15//4/55 went to Houston for grain to Rotterdam. Signed off at Tilbury. Bosun was called "long trip} Delaney. Because of his liking for long trips on tankers. Sadly I cannot remember any names other that one was an irishman obviously with the name of Paddy.

    HI Mike
Lovely painting, something I did a few years ago, eyesight not good enough now. It shows how to make an old ship beautiful
