Re: NATO & World War 3
If the latest news is true Russia is now in a financial mess.
Money is fast running out for Putin to the extent he may not be able to pay the wages of those at the front.
Ukraine it is claimed has retaken a town required by Russia to move forward.
I have some niggling doubts as to how far the west will go to help Ukraine?
But if what Putin wants is those regions he claims want to be part of Russia then in theory he has no reason to continue the war.
Who writes this script for me??????

Re: NATO & World War 3
Just found on the net.
Official notice that some15 high noted multi-millionaire business men have died in suspicious circumstances since March.
One an ex lawyer who ran a campaign against the abuse of human rights allegedly fell out of his bathroom window.
Two more fell down a flight of stairs.
Obviously these guys are not so nimble of their feet.
Happy daze John in Oz.

How would Australians feel if China decided to annex the Northern Territtory ? Well maybe they will just bye pass doing that and just buy the country instead.

If Putin sends a nuke into the Ukraine the west has to respond if they do not ? I do suspect that if he does Nuke the Ukraine , China may well give him a stiff telling off.

I would not mind betting that the Chinese have "sleepers" everywhere, ready to go when activated. It struck me as odd in the early 70's when I went ashore in Golfito, a one horse town (almost) if ever there was one, and it had a Chinese restaurant, I do recall thinking, how on earth did they end up here?

Re: NATO & World War 3
Latest news from direct Russian sources.
There are now a large number of senior Russian persons, politicians and others who now say Putin should be removed from office and charged with crimes.
Be interesting to see if these persons are still around next week.

China owns about 20% of oz, it also has the port of Darwin on lease.
But we do have many generations of Chinese here, the first came in the days of the gold rush in the 1800's.
Many restaurants owned by them and not just Chinese, they are very hard working people who get along well with society.
We have a number of them as good friends

Re: NATO & World War 3
It seems that it is claimed every erection and referendum is rigged these days, the USA presidentials for Bidden and bush ,and now Ukraine.
The looser always screams foul.
How can the USA object to the annexation of these Ukraine states when they deposed the Queen of Hawai and then annexed the islands .

Re: NATO & World War 3
Colin would you live in Russia? The UK would really have a cheek to talk about what other nations do regards taking or doing a land grab.
From 1795 to 1893, Hawaii was a British colony. The ruling family, the House of Kalakaua, was deposed in 1893. Because of the fall of the House of Kalakaua, Hawaii became a republic in 1894. It was then partitioned into several countries, eventually ceding to the United States in 1898. Hawaii was incorporated as a state in 1959. I am sure if Hawaii had a referendum they would decide to stay part of the United States .
