old Thread gone!!
Just dont know what happened, the oll Thread that was i think called Ferries or the like. has just vanished into Space!??
In one part it was about the old Ferries that i had asked about that ran from Dover to Calais.
Anyway i had thanked all for the inputs and had also posted a few things on it!
Glad that i kept the Pics i had found, and again thanks to cappy!
However thee was a reply (the last reply i saw) from someone who said something about the Company i had found and thought was the correct Ferry , was apparently not in Service in 1960, as the info i found said that the Pics were of 1962 Also i had made an Error in my posting, regards the Year that me and my late Brother travelled on the Ferry in question to Calais.
It was in fact some time in 1961 noy quite sure on the Month.
However it took some 5 hrs i think , left Dover at about 10pm , and arrived Calais about 3 or 4 am. ?? Slow trip but Fun! Met a lovely Lady on Board too, and wont tell ! LOL.
Cheers
What i thought was the one but ??? Now to search again, think as i had said and the last Poster rely, that it was possibly British Rail. But looked just like this one ! Nice roughish ride overnight!
This could well have been one of the Trips at that time /
Ferry Trip from Dover to Calais 1960's old cine film 088 - YouTube
Added After reading through this Link i see that it was in fact the Ship i was looking for and it did run in to 1961. See the writeup near the end this was her last Trip from Calais to Dover, so we must have been on one of her previous trips.
Cheers
Hope i have now solved this for my own peace of mind! LOL

Re: old Thread gone!!
No wonder it vanished if it was like the one Cappy put up.
Did you notice it is for 1962??
You may be just a little late to catch that one.
