Please Help

Hi All
I am trying to obtain any information possible about my Father Gerald (Gerry) Tantum born on 15th. September 1927 in Porthcawl South Wales
My Mother has told me that he sailed in the Russian convoys, was aboard the first supply ship to enter Malta after the seige of the second world war and his main sailings were on oil tankers, being blown up three times
My mother recollects the names of three of the ships he sailed on they were all owned by Anglo American Oil and were named
Empire Bronze
Empire Candida
Empire Gypsy
Any informtion or pictures of the ships and or crews would be greatly apprciated
Also does anyone know where i can obtain information with reference to his Seaman's book (Log Book)
