North Atlantic Convoys - 1943
Hi all
Just discovered some old ship sketches that my late father-in-law had done when he was in the MN during WW2. One is of a convoy in the North Atlantic 1943 and I really would love it if anyone could identify some or even all of the ships. I know it would be a long shot but if you don't ask ......! If anyone responds I will try and work out how to attach a photo! (any help or guidance extremely welcome!!)

Re: North Atlantic Convoys - 1943
Hello Jeff
As you say if you dont ask, you will never know!
If you can Upload the Pic and possibly give any info you can, dates etc? Numbers on Convoys and dates etc etc.
As you say may be a long Shot but who knows! Also the name of the Person in question would more than likely help. With place and DOB.
Cheers
Help on adding Picture if needed
How do I add a Picture to my Post (merchant-navy.net)

Re: North Atlantic Convoys - 1943
Hello Jeff
Convoy numbers and there is a list of ships available.
Look forward to more information. FIL's name and MN capacity . Do you have his Discharge book? That would be a help. My Dad left his D.book at home in case he lost it b/c of enemy action.
regards

Re: North Atlantic Convoys - 1943
My father crossed the Atlantic at least 15 times during WWII. He was in the MN and even had 2 trips to Arkangel and Murmansk. I have a list of the ships he was on during that time. He joined the MN when he was 14 years 5 months old in March 1939. He finally left MN in 1955.

Hello Kathy
Please may we see the list of your father's ships? IF you don't know the Convoys then they can be traced via the ships and the dates.
Look forward to hearing some more !
