Gay seafarers LGBT+. Your help please.
Hi folks,
I've been asked if there was a camp gay subculture on Dutch merchant ships as there was in the UK Merchant Navy in the second half of the 20C. Did anyone meet any, or know of gay bars in Dutch ports?
Your help will help a new oral history project take off, and will be much appreciated.
Thank you. Jo Stanley.

Jo Stanley-re Yr.#1.Sorry Jo,I can't help you with that!-but just to say Hi ! really enjoyed your historical book , co-authored with Paul Baker-'Hello Sailor-the Hidden History of Gay Life at Sea'-
a unique phenomenon in the British Merchant Navy era from the 1940's up to about the 80's that most of us here lived through, and a fascinating book all of us should read and would like.
Good luck in all your future writing projects.
Yours Sincerely.Graham
