    Default French flag steamer ALBERT

    Hello,
    I looking on informations upon the loss of the French flag steamer ALBERT.
    She has sunk on 01/05/1885 South of Isle of Wight, I would like to find any document on this event.
    May some of you help me ?

    S.S.ALBERT--- IMO 5609145- Single screw iron steam-compound cargo ship,592 tons,Length 54.9m,Beam width) 8.8m.Built 8/9/1880 by John Blumer & Co,,N.Dock,Sunderland UK for owners Chevillotte Freres,Brest,France.Port of Registry= Brest.

    Sprang a leak on voyage Boulogne to Brest and foundered (2 drowning) south of Isle of Wight on 1/5/1885
