What is an Isogram ?
There are several types of Isograms. The first order ones occur when a letter appears exactly once ( they are also called heterograms , and the word isogram itself is a perfect example) language nerds have made it their mission to find the longest heterograms. Apparently, subdermatoglphic is the longest one with 17 letters ,but is not often used, so next on the list , which sounds remotely normal is uncopyrightable.
Then there are the 2nd order isograms in which the letters appear twice such as boob papa peep etc. but there are longer ones e.g. arraigning, intestines.
But not least we have 3rd orderisograms which are rare deeded is one.
At present the longest isogram worthy city name is Bricklehampton.
Anyone know anymore such as the longest isogram country, girls name, boys name ,etc. etc.

And there is me thinking that an Isogram was a big Instagram message with an isotope attached, to soak up the nasty replies.

#2 No but can make money in the form of liquid measure if can exceed some very articulate people. Happy hour is the usual time to show ones prowess , unfortuanetley this is the time when ones speech is most slurred. But if have written down, and the rules haven’t been changed yet , so will be able to cheat until they do. JS.

Aye Aye, you want your mates on here to help you win a beer off the old dodgers at the old folks gathering.
I just go up and ask for a beer an tell the barman to put it on so and so's account.

Re: What is an Isogram ?
#3 question mark ... not bad Vernon that’s 12 letters one word not repeated when you join up both words such as
Questionmark. Think every letter is only once stated , I see double when trying to count . So you are leading if I’m right . I”ll say questionmarks and make it 13 so it’s your round , I”ll have a double Pussers Rum. Now if you’ve had one over the 8 you would not have noticed that I am cheating as putting in an extra S makes it have 2 S”s and not allowed . Cheers Queers and Engineers are also not acceptable as all have too many same letters. JS

Re: What is an Isogram ?
Cheers, Queers and Bloody Engineers, obviously you never sailed with UCL!!
But the spoken word in simple form may well confuse many, all too, to, two often this can occur when what you really want is for for four.
But of course as many of you will find out this is just a wind up to put the wind up you.
But while you lie lain in the lane you will not offer a cough as the bough may bring forth the cow, and while you watch you may have time to sew what you like to sow with the help of the cow..
The vagrancy of the English language often confuses many, but consider this is is part made from French and Germanic so little wonder.

Happy daze John in Oz.
