Yes many a ships Steward 😂
I think you may find that John was not a ship's steward
it is not the south african ( sa ) transporter3647Attachment 36470Attachment 36471
Dont think so Bryan, the Dereks dont match!
Just my thoughts anyway
Cheers
My thoughts are that it may be one of the Victory Class Ships of Safmarine , possibly a Funnel change at some stage on one of them>
Cheers
Safmarine Mariner: Victory Class - The three ships that started Safmarine (safmarinemariners.blogspot.com)
Unless my Eyes deceive me Ivan looks like Three forward Derricks, and one Aft! In the above Pic.
The one Below looks like One Large and two smaller ones side by side ? The Aft one looks OK. But as said just my guess! Its not the one in Question!
PS The second Pic by Bryan i think is the South African Trader !
The Ship in question could also be the South African Shipper!

Doc your eyes may not be deceiving you, but in #34 your terminology is ; both vessels have on the foredeck a FOREMAST and two SAMPSON POSTS and on the aftdeck 1 MAINMAST and 4 SAMPSON POSTS, they are NOT derricks.
Derricks are those long stick like things pointing in the air at various angles used for cargo work.
#38 they are three totally different ships but again you are confusing derricks with masts
just trying to be helpful. We had this conversation at the beginning of the post
she is the galway i believe perhaps someone can provide further details
