Vic , I think it applies to passing farm machinery, but I am not sure? Also that would be surely at what speed one was doing during the overtake. That bike of mine was capable of 0 to 60 in under 3 seconds. Give it a handful and it would rip your arms off. I suspect I was doing 100+when clocked . I was not happy at getting 3 points on my licence but the constable made sure that it was only an SP30, if my mate had kept his comments to himself , her that needed the shave may have given him an SP30 as well.

if you are looking for a bit of hope on a tunnel, they have been various feasibility studies on a tunnel from the mainland to the Isle of Wight, a distance of 3 miles, for the last 45 years i have lived here.and still talking about it at this moment kt

Some said the Chanel tunnel would never be built, or the bridge between Germany and I think Belgium or something like that.
Sailed under it a few years ago, magnificent piece of engineering.

As to speeding, here in Oz it is illegal to go over the limit to overtake, argument being if the guy in front of you is at the limit why do you need to overtake?
But we al do it and here in Victoria we have been classified as some of the worst drivers in the world.
