Sea Breezes
Hi
Can anyone help please ?
I have found an old document I created a few years back.: (as researching Gloucester Castle)
source : Gloucester Castle Part 1: Survival of the Fittest By Peter R. Williams c. Sea Breezes
I only have part 1 though, hardcopy . (which I can't find either )
I would like to know : What year , which volume was Part 1 published ?
Is Peter R Williams the author still 'around' / contactable
+ ideally looking for Part 2
Any help appreciated
Regards
Gordon

Re: Sea Breezes
As in another post Brian , don’t forget to take the teeth out, glasses off ,hearing aids out, etc. etc. women are usually at a distinct advantage as learn at an early age to wipe their make up off, lipstick etc. curlers in special anti wrinkle cream on, which never seems to work. Sleep tight that is one thing most of us used to do, with gallons of cold water in the morning. Cheers JS

Re: Sea Breezes
As to Sea Breezes which used to well read at least 60 years ago ,can well remember reading one story which was well authenticated by various people as witness”s. Concerned the death off the Chinese carpenter on an Indian crewed ship. The body was laid out on a hatchboard and placed under the forecastle head for burial later. The Indian Kalassi on lookout came running off the foc”sole to the bridge saying the chippy was walking around up there. Rubbish all the great minds said , and a deputation went forward. Sure enough the body was still lying there completely dead . Someone touched the feet of the dead chippy and they were soaked wet. On looking closer at the deck on forecastle the soaked dew wet deck was disturbed . Always remember that true story as have an open mind about the hereafter. JS

#4... Nice that Lou can be remembered with affection Brian. When I had a couple of hours with him in one of his local hotels he seemed to get a lot of pleasure from the Loyang of the present times that I described to him. As was a sea base for offshore ships and rigs. It would have been nice to have been able to take him back to see the changes for himself ,but was not to be. Cheers JS.

Re: Sea Breezes
Well Gordon, I have the entire bound series out in my den in the garden. Currently iced over this morning so bl***y cold in there. I'll stick the heater on and have a look later. Peter Williams also wrote a Sea Breezes article in Vol 68 1994 entitled "Is this the way to Omaha". I'm not al all sure but he may have been an R/O in WW2 so doubtful that he is still around. Give me a little time to brave the icy depths of my garden.

Re: Sea Breezes
Corrientes, you’ll find a few articles in them at various time authored by Clive Spencer an old friend of mine , who lives in Tauranga N.Z. He was also an old Runciman man so most of his articles refer to the same. Nice to see your name back. Don’t slip on the ice. Cheers JS

Re: Sea Breezes
Yes I've spotted Clive Spencer over the years. This guy Peter Williams is being elusive. It is a bit of a task hunting through volume after volume. Would help if I could tie the item down to a decade. I'm wading through the fifties right now. So, Gordon if you are reading this - any tips???
