We have a 'do not knock' sticker, care of the gov, and it works.
But yesterday a guy knocked at the door telling me he had been sent to fix the washing machine, I told him she was out.
He gave me a funny look and in his very best Indian accent told me maybe he had the wrong address.

At times such as these there will always be an increase in such attempts, they prey on the vunerable and any one they consider not fully with it.

Had a couple of calls today. One about my internet speed and had a few minutes to kill so he asked me what devises I had connected to the internet. Told I only had one and that was the phone. Very perplexed he was but tried to press on with asking me? How I paid the phone bill. That was when I went into full blown verbal abuse about it not being anything to do with the internet. Second one was from charity (get heaps of these since the sheriff donated once) and just said that I was well but broke. This threw her a bit and so had to be short with her about phoning me. I can understand that they have a living to make but so does the local burglar and put them all in the same basket. What I want to know? As these scams have been going on for decades now. Who the hell is falling for them and do you get taken of the list once you have been scammed. I bloody well doubt it.

Les mate, unfortunately there will always be one who thinks there may be something good at the end of the scam so fall for it.
Until you have been caught, or unless you are smart enough I guess it may be easy for them to get away with it.

I only answer friends and family etc, if the number is not on my phone, not known - not answered.

Rather than write a book, kept it short. Most that would call are known to me, the Doc etc
know to text first and tell me they will phone soon. Others to leave a message and
    would phone back. K.

Victoria, Swings and Roundabouts are very good if you need a Dentist. Many a tooth has been knocked out by accidents on some of them.

    Hi Victoria.
A few years ago my wife picked the phone up and yelled, "What the hell do you want now," it was an overseas call, My brother in Wales mumbled sorry! profuse apologies from my wife.
