Re: Your views Nurses to pay for parking
Looks like once again the public sector has been hijacked by the private sector, such a disgrace to let the very greedy for money being allowed by a conservative government who said they want fairness for all the people of the country to take over public services property, especially the people who on a day to day basis save lives and keep the people of the country in good health. FREE PARKING NOW FOR ALL HOSPITAL STAFF.

Re: Your views Nurses to pay for parking
Police, Ambos, State Emergency Services, Firies, none of them have to pay any fees to park.
All are provided with suitable parking at their main point of work.
So wnhy are medical workers of all kinds treated as second class citizens when it comes to parking at their main place of employment?

Re: Your views Nurses to pay for parking
John, maybe, just maybe when this Virus stuff is over, and it will be, then those in power may come to understand just how undervalued these wonderful brave people are.
The public are told to isolate, to practice social distancing, wear a mask and stay at home.
These people have to put their life on the line to help others, they are the most unselfish you will ever meet.

Re: Your views Nurses to pay for parking
Hospitals may charge for car parking in all NHS hospitals in England
and Northern Ireland but, most hospital car parking charges were
abolished in Wales in 2008 and Scotland in 2009.

Re: Your views Nurses to pay for parking
John #26, it is quite amazing but here in Victoria the nurses were only given, after a big fight, a 2% increase in pay.
But the polis got a 15% rise, they of course did it through an external body so they can claim it is not their fault.
But if they had balls they could of course said we do not want it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Your views Nurses to pay for parking
our hospital is close to the town center, if it was free it would be filled up by people going to work or shopping.
