The reason that Hospitals and for that matter supermarket, shopping centres etc let their car parks be run by the cowboy car parking companies is that they do not have the expense of having to staff and administer the area. They benefit by getting a percentage of the parking fines (around 25% os the total fine). I think the time is coming now that people realise through this virus lockdown that they do not need to go into town to work or shop as it is much easier to do it online and work from home. The councils and car parking companies are the ones who are going to suffer financially from the lack easy picking motorists. And will have to attract by offering free parking. So watch this space.

where i live the shops have a small square to park in free but for 2 and a half hours so parking close to a shop its likely that you will park in the same place a few times a day i was sent a parking fine telling me i was parked a day and a night ohh they sent me a picture then i rang them up and told them they are defrauding drivers and extorting money from them and would love to go to court to sort it out the fine was cancelled there and then but how many just pay it the car park is about 4 hundred yards from my house? jp

Apparently, pay rises for hospital staff worth €8 billion were given the green light
by the French government on Monday.

The trouble with nurses being awarded a pay rise in Oz is that the bloody teachers jump on board straight away and demand the same rise. This hinders nurses any chance of getting a fair wage.
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.

Another problem with car parking space is insurance cost.
By out sourcing the hospitals and shopping centers do not have yo worry about it.

Here in Oz I have never heard of a shopping center charging for parking.
But what many do is pass the policing of them to local council.
Parking time limits apply and the council get the fine monies.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.
