Default How easy and how accurate is it.

My own memory and even the names of some vessels are not available in my memory. Unless are in 3 discharge books I have , which are all full, as even on foreign flag vessels kept them up to date. However when full had to resort to paper discharges so have no records of some. However on going back to the federation had to report your last ship for record purposes , there being no federation today , how big a job is it to find out your own history, when senility steps up a pace ?? The two I am trying to find the name of would have been in 1986. And another in 1998 but for the latter was working out of Australia. JS.

John bit of along shot but two places that may assist.
    The census office in Perth.
National archives which I think are now in Canberra.

They may not have the answers but may be bale to point you in the right direction,
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Often say that as well John, especially when haven’t got hearing aids in , What What ? , one feeds on the other the senility and loss of memory in forgetting to put the hearing aids in .Cheers JS
