Re: Anyone else facing this dillema.
Well Terry, at this time it may be too early to consider making a claim. As although Ryan Air have grounded all their aircraft and no flights are currently available, they will probably asked you to wait until there is clarification of lifting travel restrictions, and if Spain and the UK both lift restrictions before your intended travel date you may not have a claim for consideration.
Travellers who arrived in the Canaries on 15th March the day of lockdown were told by Jet2 that they could rebook their holidays at no extra cost when things returned to normal. We never saw our rep from TUI and had to make our own way home.

Hi Keith.
Can't see the logic, as everytime we fly anywhere, my wife's suitcase is ALWAYS heavier than mine.

Re: Anyone else facing this dillema.
Terry mate, Ryan Air is a budget airline and as such you have buckleys of getting any thing back from them should they fly with out you.
The major airlines will maybe give credits to be used at a later date but budget ones operate under a different schedule.
as to cruise ships, Princess announced anew winter sailing program around Oz begining in June with about 30 different cruises on offer from two to 35 days.
They were sold out within two days, we booked one for July and will have to wait and see.
Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.

Re: Anyone else facing this dillema.
#12 Terry, the Canarians will want to get things up and running as soon as possible, tourism is their lifeblood and over 65% of that is from the UK. Depending on your grandkids age, give them sand, sea and sun they will be as happy as Larry as long as their parents don't try to join in.
Its's amazing how many times you see kids playing and lost in their own fantasy world, not bothering anybody and then their parents cannot resist going over and saying 'can I join in' NO your not a kid. You also see a quiet kid in a pushchair interested in the world around them, no whimpering, crying or tantrums and then a parent sticks a dummy in their mouth for no apparent reason, perhaps just an automatic reaction whilst they are lost in their mobile telephone.

Re: Anyone else facing this dillema.
My Mother never joined in, but she did teach us logic. If you fall out of that tree and break your neck, you wont be going to the shops with me.
And perhaps this is why I went to sea, as my father taught me time travel. " If you don't straighten yourself up , I' going to knock you into the middle of next week

Re: Anyone else facing this dillema.
Don't know what happened my first attempt disappeared into the ether
Terry, Ryan Air have advised that as from Thursday this week they will be contacting all ticket holders about the status of their tickets. ABTA have also advised that they will be contacting all ABTA registered travel agents who refuse to give a full cash refund. However personally I don't see that they can enforce anything as a lot of travel agents will have already paid resort hotels. Guess a game of wait and see
