Merchant Navy seamans records
I would like to find more about my father life in the Merchant navy I know his ship went down in WW2 and there was 37 survivors I believe they were picked up by a fishing boat, my dad was in hospital with broken ribs of some time, after the war he was on the Queen of Bermuda and other ship. he then went on to BP oil tankers till he died in 1965. I would be grateful for any advice on finding out more about his seas life.

Re: Merchant Navy seamans records
Hi Elsa Anne.
If you by any chance have his discharge book, list the names of his ships, you never know who on site may have sailed with him.
Cheers Des

Re: Merchant Navy seamans records
Hopefully, ElsaAnne will look in soon and working with her pos we can find out more.
As she has the discharge number I do wonder if the family have his discharge book and
if claimed his medals.
Keith.
